I’ve installed alarmclock and also media player.
I am able to select my playlist but unable to play.
The dropdown for devices comes up blank as well.

    Hello.
send me please your QNAP device model.

Check also that you have set all necessary permissions to MusicStation for your account
    see http://nasalarmclock.com/qnap/description/mainsettings/

Where do you go to set the application and folder privileges?

    The model number is TS-563.

    Thanks

As you can see I am using the admin account so there shouldn’t be a user privilege issue.

I was able to successfully connect when I setup my smartTV as my network player. Does anyone know if the functionality also allows the alarm to be played directly on my iPhone? In other words, how do I setup my iPhone to be a device in the list?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello.

    1) Alarm Clock can play only to network connected devices (DLNA or AirPlay), or USB sound card connected to NAS.

    2) Alarm Clock uses QNAP MusicStation API for playing sound. So if you see your device in devices list in MusicStation, and can play to that device in MusicStation, so you can use it in Alarm Clock.

    3) You can’t select your phone as playing device directly in Music Station.
But, you could install to your phone special app that will act as network player, and then it may be used by MusicStation / AlarmClock.
For example, for Android (tested by me) – https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplayer
I think there are similar apps for iphone
    (see https://itunes.apple.com/ru/app/airplayer/id369713694?mt=8 for example)

I got it to work on my SmartTV so I will pursue the option of making my iPhone a network player. Thank you for the support.
